VISION STATEMENT
As an Embodied Feminine Space Holder, I recognise and honour the interconnected nature of the mind, body, and soul upon our experiences as a human kind. I support individuals in exploring their inner landscape and reaching their full potential by creating safe, inclusive and non-biased spaces where they are welcomed and valued. My mission is to inspire and guide others to step into their own embodied role of self-leadership and empowerment.
I advocate for community organisations, and collaborate with like-minded individuals through Trauma-Informed Pathways; leading to Somatic Coaching, Yoga, Sound Immersion, Breathwork Facilitating and Holistic Care (both during and at the End-Of-Life). I meet clients where they are on paths of self-discovery, assisting them with practices of awareness that lead to gained self-agency, self-advocacy and autonomy over their bodies.
By acknowledging past patterns, nurturing and aligning the mind, body and soul, I believe we can create a strong foundation for personal transformation and a deeper connection to our authentic selves.

...AND YOU ARE??
My name is Serina, I am a Mother of four, an Accredited Trauma Informed Practitioner of many Yogic, Somatic & Holistic modalities. I am the founder of BEYOND SOMA, priding myself on my Virtue, Empathy, Humility and ability to follow Intuitive senses.
I work 1:1, Curate Events, Workshops and Trauma-Sensitive 6-week Programs in order to meet those I encounter, exactly where they are in the moment. Fostering compassion and curiosity, I embrace all parts of experiences as valid and worthy of being witnessed, in order to transitions through change and to transcend when time authentically arises.
There is no 'one size fits all' on the path of discovery, we all bloom in our own varied ways and in spaces that are cultivated to be 'safe-enough' for us. I look forward to walking alongside you if you feel my offerings fall into alignment with your needs.
I like to think of my offerings as a pick-n-mix of holistic care, where you take what you like and leave what isn't to your taste.
YOGIC ENQUIRY
CERTIFIED IN THE TEACHING OF TRAUMA-INFORMED
RESTORATIVE, VINYASA, HATHA, YIN, NADA AND CHILDREN'S YOGA
Yoga opened up a path of exploration when I was 15 and although life had me on my toes, my practices kept me grounded, until I was able to embody Yoga on a new level. We often associate 'Yoga' with cliché images and physical practices, but in truth, 'Yoga' transcends the physical; it's holistic practices integrate the mind, body, and spirit.
Central to this ancient philosophy are eight strands/limbs which have guided me personally, and now filter though my professional holdings too. Once you get to know me you'll witness just how imperative these strands are to guiding in a conscious manner.
Imagine Eight of the most inexpensive and humble of ingredients, creating a life nourishing meal...the stock or base being our Ethical Standards and how we behave setting our tone/depth. A healthy dash of Self-Discipline for structure, Regular Asana/movement Practice to promote physical health, layers of Breathwork to support emotional balance, then a pause … Withdrawal of the Senses for us to internalise our focus. Stirring in Concentration on a single point of focus to train our mind to become more aware and less distracted before a sprinkling of Meditation granting a quietened mind. All baked, becoming a Union leading us to a nourished peaceful state of being

My greatest appreciation to my Teacher Faye Shekhar; her outstanding commitment to her students & depth of her teachings is BEYOND comprehension. The inner-knowing that this was my path continually blooms under her guidance and I will forever be grateful for all she opens my awareness to. Yoga is a journey of ongoing learning and personal growth, one I will forever be a student continuing to live by the ethics of.
I believe we are all equal, all deserving of inclusive spaces to evolve and of non-judgemental hands to hold, from life-care to death-care, to soul-care and BEYOND, to the tender navigation of Grief Holding. Yoga, Somatics, Sound and Holistic Care all lead to the same destination but together, I believe they are a healing powerhouse.

NADA YOGA
SOUND IMMERSION
Sound healing, particularly through the use of singing bowls and crystal bowls, voice incorporation and instrument inclusion, offers a profound complement to somatic and yogic practices, by recognising that everything, including every part of our body, has its own unique vibrational frequency. These frequencies can be impacted by emotional and physical stressors, often leading to imbalances within the body.
Sound healing utilises the resonant qualities of crystal bowls and other instruments to resonate with these frequencies, helping to restore harmony and balance. As the sound waves travel through the body, they can facilitate deep relaxation and when combined with somatic practices, (emphasising body awareness) sound healing can amplify the body's innate ability to heal itself by targeting specific vibrations that correspond to different organs or systems. In yogic practices, sound deepens the connection to breath and enhances mindfulness, allowing us to tune into our internal frequencies. This holistic approach nurtures both mind and body, fostering an environment where individuals can explore their inner landscapes and achieve a profound sense of peace and well-being.
I love, love, love to facilitate Sound Immersions for children and adults, assisting deep relaxation, rejuvenation, emotional release as well as boosting immunity and heart health, all in the guise of a mini (or maxi) meditative concert; what's not to love! As ever, all spaces are carefully thought-out and always Trauma -Informed.
The Exchange for Sound Immersion Sessions depend on your requirements but examples of costing for 45 minute sessions are :
1:1 - £60
Group Facilitation - £25 per person (Minimum 6 Participants)
As Part of an Immersive Workshop Including Breathwork £120 (75 minutes for additional integration co-regulation)

SOMATIC COACHING
EMBRACE, EMBODY, EMPOWER
I was honoured to train under Aneta Idczak at the Somatic Coach Academy, where I Studied and became certified in Trauma-Informed Embodied Resilience Yoga (TREY) teaching, which instinctively led me to Somatic Coaching. Her commitment to delivering high-quality training inspired me to filter this new found wisdom through to my own offerings and I’ve never looked back!
Somatic awareness shifts our focus to the body as a source of insight and change; inviting us to explore bodily sensations, movements, and patterns of tension and relaxation. Unlike traditional talking therapies which follow a top-down approach, Somatic Coaching employs a bottom-up, holistic method of enquiry for personal and professional development. I work by integrating the Soma (body) , Psyche (mind), and Soul (spirit) to access the body’s inherent wisdom for growth, transformation, and healing.
In time, these practices enhances body awareness and self-regulation, promoting physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
I am dedicated to providing exceptional care, am Accredited with ACCPH, Yoga Alliance UK and am currently deepening my studies, the knowledge from which will, intuitively weave through my space-holdings. More info to come!
The Exchange for a 75 minute 1:1 Coaching is £80. Block booking is at a reduced rate.

SOUL MIDWIFERY
HOLISTIC END-OF-LIFE CARE
As a Soul Midwife, I serve as a compassionate, holistic companion for those who are approaching the end of life. My role is to guide and support individuals during this profound time, helping to ensure a gentle and tranquil transition. My support may begin from the moment of diagnosis and continue until the final day or as last moment connection of support to family and loved ones. In either case, the offering of compassionate care and holistic holding does not differ. I call upon a variety of soothing therapies (Sound, Touch, Movement, Aroma and Energy-work) to provide reassurance in assisting discomfort of the mind, body and subtle body; meeting their experience without a 'need-to-fix' mind set. Endeavouring to act as both an advocate and advisor, I embrace a non-denominational approach, fostering deep conversations filled with love and dignity.
As a soul Midwife I actively listen and maintain a vigil throughout someone's journey. I am dedicated to transforming the experience of dying and living within our communities, helping anyone facing the end of life to achieve a tender, peaceful, and conscious death.
If you or a loved one are navigating a terminal diagnosis and feel you/they may benefit from a hand to hold, please reach out or pass on my contact information on. Sometimes a simple cup of tea and a new friend can have a positive influence in a time of uncertainty.
The Exchange for Soul Midwifery Services varies on circumstances, please contact me with enquiries.

BREATHWORK FACILITATION
Transformative breathwork is a potent tool that I apply in a gentle and time-sensitive way. Engaging in breathwork can energise us and when combined with somatic practices, it enhances our body awareness and capacity (in a safe setting), allowing us to explore both subtle and active breathing techniques. This conscious approach opens up informative pathways for growth, with us in the seat of agency and control.
It does seem as though 'Trauma' and 'Breathwork' alongside 'Ice Baths' are healing gold in our dialect right now; and although aspects of all are wonderful, blindly following any modality can potentially lead us to practices we are not adequately prepared for. Engaging in dynamic breathwork without proper awareness and sensitivity can lead to overwhelming sensations , dissociation where we loose connection to our body and experiences of increased anxiety. I take my role as a Trauma Sensitive Breathwork facilitator (and my ongoing training) very seriously, knowing first had what unsafe facilitation and holding can lead to. These spaces are sacred and client-led; where stories stored at a cellular level in our bodies unravel in a ways that are not too fast, not too much and not too soon. When these three elements are in the 'too much' format, they are the cornerstones of defining a traumatic experience; this is why all of my offerings aim to steer us away from becoming dis-embodied, dis-empowered or reactive .
There is a precious joy in conscious practices, not created for photo opportunities or picture worthy content but for self-exploration ang growth. As with anything, ask questions and choose the depth of your participation, everything is a invitation/
The Exchange for Breathwork Facilitation Varies on your requirements.

CREATIVE MEDITATION
One of my long-standing meditative practices is 'Creative Meditation.' It plays a vital role in group facilitation, 1:1 exploration, and in my life overall. This approach fosters a non-invasive form of co-regulation within our communities, in the context of trauma-related issues, it can pave the way for open discussions, trust, and the creation of safe-enough spaces for more hesitant participants. Allowing children to explore and encouraging adults to reconnect with their inner child through creative play is truly special, but it goes beyond that! Extraordinary growth can occur when we detach from conventional healing concepts, which is why the diversity of of BEYOND SOMA's holistic offerings rarely stand alone.
CHILDREN'S YOGA
As parent of four children, with lived experience of additional needs and neurodiversity, I have spent many years navigating non-medicated tools to meet and embrace overwhelm and burnout; yoga has of course been such a gift and has always taught concepts to my children as they grew, but I became a Certified Children's Yoga Teacher just before the pandemic.. divine timing some might say! It gave me an opportunity to venture into home-schooling and fostering a focus on wellbeing without so many social pulls; this is where I gained greater academic awareness of Autism, ADHD, Mindfulness and Art as Therapy.
I have taught children in schools, at parties, in groups and in 1:1 sessions but in truth, my main focus was my households nervous system regulation, which is still a pathway of discovery as their small footprints are replaced with ever growing ones. . So I stick to limited events alongside my main avenues for now but there are some lovely children's pop-up events in the pipeline.
I believe children should be heard, their feelings validated & their difficulties/needs met with eyes that are eager to widen in an accommodating stance, rather than being conditioned into pre fabricated moulds that cordon off their truth. I feel our youth are awakening to a world that caters for all rather than the dominant majority; knowing that every soul has a place and resonates at a unique frequency.. and that's pretty beautiful to witness!
The Exchange for Children’s Yoga Services is dependant on your requirements.

GIVING BACK
OUR ACTIONS DON'T JUST SPEAK LOUDER THAN OUR WORDS, THEY ARE OUR WORDS
Raising awareness and funds via events and percentages of my earnings is non-negotiable, there is so much to be said about the knock on effect of kindness. Receiving donations from companies such as Lush Colchester, The Body Shop , Beauty/Hair Salons and Holistic Practitioners, not forgetting our community members who have donated via 'Paying It Forward' which allows a event space to become complementary to someone in need; has been so incredibly humbling. Below are the charities and organisations that we have assisted in various forms. Click to learn a little about them.
